The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DEEE) is located within the Faculty of Engineering at the central campus of the University of Khartoumin Khartoum City. The DEEE was established in 1958, as the first department in Sudan offering B.Sc. degree programme in electrical engineering. Currently, it offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with a current population of 497 of full-time undergraduate students and about 90 postgraduate students enrolled in three programmes
This Department has been rated as the top choice of Sudan Secondary School certificate and other equivalent certificate students for the last twenty years within the University of Khartoum, which is also the top choice between all universities in Sudan. The majority of the Department students are amongst the top 100 scores in the Sudanese University entry qualifications.
