Sub-Departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering:
In the time period of 1961-1970 all the students in DEEE were studied the same subjects and the only different were the graduation projects which classified to heavy current and light current. In 1970, the name of heavy current specialist was changed to power and light current specialist to communication. Now the DEEE contains three sub-departments for the basic disciplines in electrical and Electronics Engineering that teach the academic programs requirements. These Sub-Departments are:
1. Electronics Engineering and Computer Systems Sub-Department
The Electronics Engineering and Computer Systems Sub-Department was established in 2003 and the first batch to get the B.Sc. degree in (Electronic Engineering and Computer Systems) was the batch of year 1999 which graduated in 2004. While the first batch to get the B.Sc. degree in (Electronic Systems Software Engineering) was the batch of year 2001 which graduated in 2006. In this sub-department, the courses related to Electronics, computer systems and software engineering theories and practical experiments will be introduced.
2. Communications and Systems Sub-Department
The Communications and Systems Sub-Department provides B.Sc. degree in (Communication Engineering). In this sub-department, the courses related to communication and systems theories and practical experiments will be introduced.
3. Electrical Engineering Sub-Department
The Electrical Engineering Sub-Department provides B.Sc. degree in (Electrical Power Systems) while for (Control Systems and Measurements) B.Sc. degree, it was awarded for the first time to batch 2002 which were graduated in 2007. First time for the control specialist to be teaches was 2006 and it was included in the Electrical Engineering Sub-Department. In this sub-department, the courses related to electrical and control systems theories and practical experiments will be introduced.
